AACRaid driver disk for Linux When installing RH6.2SBE2 or RH7.0 onto Perc2/Si, Perc3/Si, Perc3/Di, or Perc2, follow the steps below. NOTE: When using this driver disk, avoid using "expert" mode installation. Use "linux dd" mode instead. FOR RH6.2SBE2: 1. Download aacraid-62sbe2-70.zip from http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/ and extract it to floppy (this floppy will be referred as aacraid driver disk in this sheet). 2. Boot your system with RH6.2SBE2 media (CD) 3. When you get to the "Boot:" prompt, insert the aacraid driver disk and enter "linux dd". NOTE: The steps beyond this are required only if both channels of Perc3/Di are set to RAID. 4. Right after installation completes (when you get to the last screen with EXIT button, press CTRL+ALT+F2 to go to bash shell. From the shell, run the following: 1. chroot /mnt/sysimage 2. mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy 3. /mnt/floppy/update_rh62sbe2.sh 4. umount /mnt/floppy 5. Remove floppy 6. Hit CTRL+ALT+F1 and click on EXIT. FOR RH7.0: 2. Download aacraid-rh62sbe2-rh70.zip from http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/ and extract it to floppy (this floppy will be referred as aacraid driver disk in this sheet). 3. Boot your system with RH7.0 media (CD) 4. When you get the "Boot:" prompt, insert the aacraid driver disk and enter "linux dd". 5. Right after installation completes (when you get to the last screen with EXIT button, press CTRL+ALT+F2 to go to bash shell. From the shell, run the following: 1. chroot /mnt/sysimage 2. mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy 3. /mnt/floppy/update_enterprise.sh 4. umount /mnt/floppy 5. Remove floppy 6.
