Event Message Format Selection

Select the format for Alert messages. The format selected here is applied to messages logged into the operating system, including events raised through the SNMP alerts.

Enhanced Message Format In this format, the operating system log entries contain severity, category, and message ID embedded within the message. (For example, “Severity: Informational, Category, Audit, MessageID: MSG001: Message Text with Substitution”) and the alert severity is mapped to the corresponding operating system log severity.
Traditional Message Format In this format, messages are displayed as seen in the previous releases.

Command Log Size

Command Log Size Specifies the maximum command log file size in MB. You can find the command log in its default directory under the filename omcmdlog.xml.
NOTE: You cannot configure command log size on systems running the supported VMware ESXi operating systems. On supported VMware ESXi operating systems, Server Administrator supports a default command log size of 128 KB.
For an explanation of other buttons present on Server Administrator Action pages, see Server Administrator Window Buttons.
