Edit Fan Probes (For A Specific Fan)
Use this window to view information about fan status and critical/failure thresholds, and to set warning thresholds by default or by entering a value.
The Edit Fan Probes window displays information about the following:
- Status of each fan in your system
- RPM value at the time of the request
- Read-only information about minimum and maximum failure thresholds
- Choice of setting warning thresholds by default or by value

Edit Fan Probe Fields
Status | Determines whether the event type for this probe is Normal/OK, Warning/Noncritical, or Critical/Failure. |

Reading | Displays a snapshot of the RPM measured by the probe at a given time. |
Minimum Failure Threshold | Displays the lowest acceptable fan RPM that is required for system operation. Values that fall below this fan RPM result in critical/failure events. |
Maximum Failure Threshold | Displays the highest acceptable fan RPM that is required for system operation. Values that exceed this fan RPM result in critical/failure events. |
Threshold Settings
Set to Default | Sets the minimum and maximum fan RPM value for a warning event at the default value. |

Set to Values | Allows power users and administrators to specify minimum and maximum values for a fan RPM that triggers a warning event. |
Minimum Warning Threshold | Displays the lowest acceptable fan RPM that is recommended for system operation. Values that fall below this RPM level result in warning events. |
Maximum Warning Threshold | Displays the highest acceptable fan RPM that is recommended for system operation. Values that exceed this fan RPM result in warning events. |
