Network Interfaces Information

Use this window to view information about the physical network interface controllers (NIC) and/or team interface.

Physical NIC Interface

Interface Name Displays the name of the network interface. The order in which devices are detected is not guaranteed to match the physical port ordering of the device. Click on the hyperlink under Interface Name to view NIC information.

A network interface controller is a hardware interface that handles and allows a network capable device access to a network (like the Internet).

Vendor Name of the company that sells the network interface.
Description Type and model number of the network interface.
Connection Status The options are Unknown, Connected, Disconnected, Disabled, Driver Not Installed Or Not Functioning, Resetting, Closing, Adapter Not Ready and Not Obtained.
Slot Displays the type of slot (for example - embedded).

Team Interface

Interface Name Displays the name of the team interface. Click on the hyperlink under Interface Name to view team information.
Vendor Name of the company that sells the network interface.
Description Displays the team description.
Redundancy Status The different status options are listed below:
  • Not Applicable — Not a team.
  • Unknown — The status is not known.
  • Full — There is more than one physical network interface, and all are connected.
  • Degraded — There is more than one physical network interface and at least one physical network interface is not connected.
  • Lost — Only one physical network interface is connected.
  • Failed — There is no connectivity. This may be because the team interface is disabled, or none of the physical network interfaces are connected.
