Systems Affected: Inspiron E1505n
Description: With NVidia graphics with the nv driver and connected to an external monitor, cycling through all display modes causes X to be dispayed on only half the Laptop screen. The rest of the screen is dark.
Impact: Unable to use Laptop screen with X
Workaround: Restart X (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) or switch to a virtual console and back.
Fix: No fix available at this time. Issue being tracked in Launchpad# 110648
