Description: Network driver e1000 does not recognize Intel network controller.
Systems Affected: Dimension 530n.
Impact: No wired network connectivity.
Workaround: Install new e1000 driver and upgrade kernel to 2.6.20-16.
Fix: Upgrade to 2.6.20-16 kernel and install the latest linux-backports-modules package from the Ubuntu 7.04 repositories.
