Remote Access Information
Use this screen to enable or disable IPv4 or IPv6 properties for iDRAC.
NOTE: This help page
may include information about features not supported by your system.
Server Administrator only displays the features that are supported
on your system. |

IPv4 Properties
Enabled | Click to enable IPv4 properties. If you click enable, you will be able to configure the IPv4 address. |
Disabled | Click to disable IPv4 properties. If you select Disabled, the following error message is displayed - If IPv4 is disabled, existing systems management traffic to iDRAC through IPv4 is terminated. Also, new connections to the iDRAC are not allowed to be established. Click OK to continue. If you click disable, the existing IPv4 addresses will no longer be applied onto the iDRAC network interface. You will not be able to configure IPv4 details in the Properties and Configuration tabs. |
IPv6 Properties
NOTE: The IPv6 properties
are not displayed on yx2x systems and later if the appropriate license
is not installed. |
Enabled | Click to enable IPv6 properties. If you click enable, you will be able to configure the IPv6 address. |
Disabled | Click to disable IPv6 properties. If you select Disabled,
the following error message is displayed - If IPv6 is disabled,
existing systems management traffic to iDRAC through IPv6 is terminated.
Also, new connections to the iDRAC are not allowed to be established.
Click OK to continue. If you click disable, the existing IPv6 addresses will no longer be applied onto the iDRAC network interface. You will not be able to configure IPv6 details in the Properties and Configuration tabs. |
