SATA Settings
Use this window to control embedded SATA ports settings.

NOTE: Based on available
hardware, dependencies may exist between the various attributes for
settings. For example, setting a attribute value may change the state
of the dependent attributes to non-editable or editable, as the case
may be. For example, changing the Embedded SATA settings to ATA Mode allows you to configure
the individual port settings. Setting the Embedded SATA to any other mode does not allow you to configure the ports. |
Embedded SATA
Allows the Embedded SATA to be set to Off, ATA, AHCI, or RAID Mode.
Security Freeze Lock
Sets the Security Freeze Lock command to the Embedded SATA drives during POST. This option is only applicable to AHCI mode and not on RAID mode.
Write Cache
Sets the Write Cache to the Embedded SATA drives during POST. The default is set to Disabled. This option is only applicable to AHCI mode and not on RAID mode.
Port A, Port B, Port C, Port D, Port E, Port F, Port G, Port H, Port I, and Port J
Sets the drive type of the selected device. When the Embedded SATA setting is ATA Mode, set this field to Auto to enable BIOS support for the device. Select Off to turn off BIOS support for the device. When the Embedded SATA setting is AHCI Mode or RAID Mode, BIOS always enables support for the device.
Model
Displays the drive model of the selected device.
Drive Type
Indicates type of device attached to this SATA port.
Capacity
Displays the total capacity of a hard-disk drive. This field is undefined for removable-media devices such as optical drives.
