Diagnostic Application Settings

Use this window to customize the application-specific behavior of the Diagnostic Service.

Application Settings Controls

Print Prints the contents of the window's data area using the default printer for your system.
Email E-mails the contents of this window to your designated recipient. See the Server Administrator User's Guide for instructions about configuring your Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server.
Refresh Refreshes the window to get the latest saved information for the diagnostic settings.
Show Test Warning Messages When selected, enables the display of warning messages before running certain resource-intensive tests, such as memory tests.
Show Diagnostic Warning Screen When selected, enables the display of the Diagnostic Warning screen when you click Diagnostic Services on the Health screen.
RMI Registry Port Specifies the server socket port where the RMI registry is listening for a connection. Valid range is 1024-65535.
Maximum Diagnostic Result History File Size Specifies the largest file size in megabytes (MB) for the result history file. If the file size exceeds this limit, the Diagnostic Service purges old file entries, starting with the earliest entry, until the file conforms to the specified limit. Valid range is 1-5 MB.
Maximum Hardware Configuration Change History File Size Specifies the largest file size in MB for the hardware configuration change history file. If the file size exceeds this limit, the Diagnostic Service purges old file entries, starting with the earliest entry, until the file conforms to the specified limit. Valid range is 1-5 MB.
Maximum Completed Tests Displayed Specifies the maximum number of completed tests to be displayed in the Status window. Valid range is 0-50.
Timeout for Completed Results in Memory Specifies the maximum time period for keeping completed results in memory. Valid range is 30-2880 minutes.
Apply Changes Applies the changes you have made from the Diagnostic Application Settings window.
