=============================================================================== Release summary =============================================================================== Dell EMC OpenManage Integration Version 7.3 with Microsoft System Center (OMIMSSC) for System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Microsoft System Center—Operations Manager (SCOM) enables you to monitor devices and applications in your data center. Dell EMC provides management packs on the OpenManage Integration with Microsoft System Center (OMIMSSC) appliance, by using which, administrators can manage their Microsoft and Dell EMC devices by using a single interface: The Microsoft System Center—Operations Manager console. The Dell EMC OMIMSSC appliance is an integration with Microsoft SCOM to discover, inventory, monitor health, and generate performance metrics and alerts of Dell EMC PowerEdge servers and rack workstations that are discovered through iDRAC using WS-Man, Chassis or modular systems (including PowerEdge MX7000), and network switches. The OMIMSSC appliance offers the agent-free monitoring of Dell EMC Servers and Rack Workstations—through iDRAC using WS-Man, chassis, and network switches. You can use the legacy management packs to perform agent-based monitoring of PowerEdge servers and rack workstations by using iSM using WMI or an OMSA agent. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Release Version: 7.3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Release Date: July 2021 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Previous Release Version: 7.2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Importance RECOMMENDED: Dell EMC recommends the customer review specifics about the update to determine if it applies to your system. Resolution None. Versions Affected: All (Chassis Modular Server Correlation, Server and Rack Workstation Monitoring, Server and Rack Workstation Monitoring Feature-Licensed) * Issue 10 When M1000e chassis is discovered with controller inserted in SLOT2 even when SLOT1 is empty, then the value of the firmware version is displayed as "Not Applicable". Resolution Insert the controller in SLOT1. Version affected: All (Chassis Monitoring Feature (Detailed) * Issue 11 Deletion of devices from the OMIMSSC appliance for SCOM can take a long time depending on the number of devices deleted at a time. Resolution Select few devices for deletion at a time. Wait for few minutes after the deletion of devices and then proceed to delete other devices. Version affected: All * Issue 12 If IPs provided for discovery are not reachable then discovery for those devices will run periodically and task created by appliance cannot be deleted for them. Resolution If provided credentials are incorrect then use Edit Credentials profile page to correct them. Version affected: All * Issue 13 After rebooting the OMIMSSC appliance, monitoring of devices is not possible until next discovery which is scheduled for that particular device. Thus, updating the health status can take upto 24 hours. Resolution Use Configuration override page to change only discovery override after reboot. This will ensure discovery is run immediately and Health Unit Monitors are updated in next default cycle.
